My Last First Day

Here I am... Back at Bluffton University for my last year as a senior. It is hard to believe that only a few years ago I was a freshman. I am feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness about this being my last time moving into my room or going to my first classes.

I moved in Saturday with the help of my parents, grandparents, boyfriend, roommate, and roommate's boyfriend. I guess that list of helpers speaks to the amount of stuff I tend to bring. In my efforts to be prepared, I have always overpacked. Then, I make the promise that next year I will bring more stuff! This weekend was spent catching up with friends who I haven't seen over the summer. My roommate and I indulged in Padrone's pizza and cheesy bread (college must haves here in Bluffton) and a movie. Afterwards we went to the Whippy Dip. It is the local ice cream "stand" here in town. Everyone loves it. Too bad they will close soon!

I attended my first two classes of the year and also my only two classes of the day earlier this morning. The rest of my day will be and has been filled with work. I work on campus as a swiper at breakfast and as a professor's assistant. Keeps me pretty busy! That's how I have felt today: busy, busy, busy! I can tell it will be a very busy and exciting year already.
